Our Head Chef, has devised several delicious menus for the events being held at the hotel from November and throughout December 2011. Mark has ensured that each menu includes a traditional feast to make you feel all Christmassy inside.

Not only are we offering Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Years Eve dining, we also have menus available for Christmas Parties, Festive Lunches and Dinner and drinks packages.

Festive lunches commence at 12.00pm till 2.00pm and dinners are served from 5.00pm.to 9.00 p.m.

At The Pickering's Country House Hotel, Catterall, we take pride in our Sunday Lunches – using locally selected produce from equally passionate people. To add to that dining experience we now offer live piano music every Sunday lunchtime (12pm till 3pm) provided by Ken Robson. What a perfect accompaniment to any dish.

Our Lounge menu is available from 12pm till 8pm in the Cedar Restaurant, Lounge or Garden Terrace. Alternatively dine from our set menu including a roast of the day for £12.95 two courses or £15.95 three courses.

Royal Wedding 29th April 2011  

Have you planned on celebrating the Royal Wedding this coming Bank Holiday Friday? Why not immerse yourself in true British nostalgia and join us in waving the Union Jack on this auspicious occasion.

The Pickering’s Country House Hotel in Catterall, Nr. Preston, is a perfect venue to watch Prince William and Kate Middleton exchange their vows.

Watch the ceremony on our Big Screen T.V. and then enjoy a traditional British Afternoon tea in our Victorian Gardens or Restaurants. Guests are invited to arrive at 10:30am in time for the Ceremony at 11:00am. Freshly homemade sandwiches, scones and cakes with unlimited tea & coffee are available for £10.95 pp (Adults) £5.95 pp (Children).

You can also purchase a celebratory drink during the day as our well stocked bars will be serving Cask Ales, Lagers, Wines, Champagne and Spirits.

Mothers Day this Sunday 3rd April 2011.

A special day when mothers should be treated as families show how much they appreciate their hardworking mums. Treat mum this Mothering Sunday at The Pickerings Country House Hotel, Catterall, Nr. Preston.

Our Head Chef has devised a wonderful 4 course menu available for £19.95 per head, or £9.95 for children under 12. We will thank you for dining with us by offering a gift to the Mother as you retire to the lounge or gardens for coffee.

Lunch will be served from 12:00pm and tables are available until 8:00pm should you prefer a later start to the day.

Treat the one you love with a wonderful 5 course meal on Valentines Day, Tuesday 14th February 2012, in the Cedar Restaurant @ The Pickerings, Catterall.

Alternatively, why not make a weekend of it (Friday 17th February and Saturday 18th February 2012), in the romantic surroundings of our Country House Hotel. Our romantic packages include overnight accommodation in one of our four poster rooms/suites. Let us make your Valentines a special occasion for the both of you!

The Pickerings Country House Hotel, Catterall, will be holding its popular annual Burns Night Celebration on Saturday the 21st January 2012.

Along with performances of Burns’ poems the event will include a traditional 5 course meal, whisky toasts, a traditional piper and live music through till late. The highlight of the evening is the parade of the haggis. Accompanied by pipers, the haggis is proudly placed on the high table.

The Burns Supper tradition began over 200 years ago when friends of the late poet, Robert Burns, laid on meals in memory of him following his death in 1796. His most famous poem is New Year and Hogmany standard Auld Lang Syne.

Tickets are priced at £27.95 per head, or a table of ten can be reserved for £250.00. The evening reception begins at 7:00 p.m with dining at 7:30p.m. The dress code is lounge or dinner jacket. Kilts are optional
