Lancashire Night at the Pickering’s.
Friday the 26th February 2010, sees the Pickering’s Country House Hotel, Catterall, hosts their first “Lancashire Night”.
Live music will be provided by the popular Lancashire Folk band "Trouble at mill" who will be singing all your old Lancashire and Irish favorites.
The evening will include a traditional homemade Lancashire Hotpot and of course the Willow Suite bar will be open offering cask ales, beers, wines and spirits.
General Manager, Samantha Thornton commented “the evening is an excuse to get out of the house, have a drink, some winter warming hot pot and most importantly a good sing along. It will be a truly entertaining evening”.

A BURNS NIGHT CELEBRATION...
The Pickerings Country House Hotel, Catterall, will be holding its popular annual Burns Night Celebration on the 23rd January 2010.
Along with performances of Burns’ poems the event will include a traditional 5 course meal, whisky toasts, a traditional piper and live music until late. The highlight of the evening is the parade of the haggis, involving our Scottish head chef Callum Harvey being followed by pipers, carrying the haggis to be placed on the high table.
The Burns Supper tradition began over 200 years ago when friends of the late poet, Robert Burns, laid on meals in memory of him following his death in 1796. His most famous poem is New Year and Hogmanny standard Auld Lang Syne.
Tickets are priced at £25.95 per head, or a table of ten can be reserved for £200.00. The evening reception begins at 7:30 p.m with dining at 8:00p.m and is simply not to be missed. The dress code is lounge or dinner jacket. Kilts are optional!
