Just a short ride from the Lake District, Lancaster Castle and the
Blackpool Illuminations, A twenty minute
drive to the highlights of coastal Blackpool or historic Lancaster. After a short stroll along the Lancaster Canal or a hike in the fells
you will soon confirm this is a part of England just too good to be
missed.
Garstang is situated midway between Preston and Lancaster and boasts a
wealth of old buildings, numerous Weinds and a market, which dates back
to the reign of King Edward II. Since 1310 this market has been
held in the main street every Thursday. Easily accessible from the M6
North or South via the A6.
At the gateway to
the Lake District situated on the doorstep of the Forest of Bowland,
which has been designated as an 'area of outstanding natural beauty'.
From the North
Leave the M6 at junction 33 and head south on the A6 towards Preston for
about six miles.
Passing the A586 junction on your right travel for a further half-mile
and then turn left at Cock Robin Lane. At the top of the 'T' junction
turn right, the hotel is on the left.
From the South
Leave the M6 at junction 32 and join the M55.
Exit the M55 at junction 1 and travel north
along the A6 towards Garstang for about six miles.
After the Esso garage take the B6430 on the right.

just before Cock Robin Lane.
